Jesus = Achan
Summary: God was angry at all Israel for the sin of one man. The camp was in defeat and could not stand against their enemies until the devoted things were removed and Achan destroyed. Like the Egyptians at the Red Sea, Achan suffered total destruction. The place is named The Valley of Achor (trouble) which becomes a door of hope (Hosea 2:15). The camp of Israel can move on now that the sin has been expitated and God propitiated.
